Workshop Details;
- Date: Monday 1st April 2019
- Time:5.30pm-8.45pm
- Venue: Sports House Board Room, Saxton Field
- Cost: $30 p/p
- Facilitator: Alana Murphy, Red Cross
- Overview: This Basic First Aid workshop will be a great refresher for coaches, officials, volunteers or team managers who need to renew their Basic First Aid Certificate. The workshop will cover initial assessment, scene management, fractures & dislocations, soft tissue injury, bleeding, head & spinal injury, CPR and how to use of a defibrillator. Each attendee will receive a Red Cross New Zealand Basic First Aid Certificate which is valid for 2 years. NZQA credits are NOT available.
- Who Might Attend? Sports coaches, team managers, parents, match officials. Please be advised that you MUST be at least 16 years of age to attend this workshop.
- Light Supper Provided. Please make sure you advise us of any special dietary requirements when you register.
- Bonus: All attendees will go in the draw to win a first aid kit, courtesy of Lotto NZ, Thank a Sport Maker Initiative
- What to bring: Notepad and pen
