The Hockey Foundation was established in 2011, to promote and support the amateur sport of hockey in New Zealand. Through the Hockey Foundation, we aim to provide opportunities for participation in hockey and ensure that the health benefits provided through the sport of hockey are realised.
The Hockey Foundation is entering our third stage of strategic development and is endeavouring to provide support to projects throughout New Zealand that foster and promote the participation of hockey in New Zealand.
Reporting to the Hockey New Zealand Foundation Chair, the core responsibilities include:
- Manage and administer all operational aspects of the Hockey Foundation including investment management, grant making, financial reporting.
- Manage and administer delivery of programme to deliver quality experiences to our Hockey Community.
- Prepare reports on the delivery of the Hockey Foundation programme of expenditure.
- Manage fund raising projects for the Hockey Foundation.
The candidate will have proven experience in the following areas:
- successfully and positively working with diverse stakeholders and partners,
- planning and managing funding applications and funding related budgets
- funding specialist including management of funding applications, sponsorship and regional funding
They will have effective communication skills, strong initiative and problem solving abilities, and embrace change positively and actively seek new and improved ways to do things.
