NHA RDM- Anthony Denissen
Nelson Hockey Association welcomes our new Regional Development Manager Anthony Denissen.
We wish Anthony and his family all the best and looking at his qualifications and experience we are sure he will continue to drive Nelson Hockey Community area forward into 2020 and beyond.
Anthony is moving with his family to Nelson early next year and he is very excited to take up the Regional Development Manager role at Nelson Hockey in the new year and he’ll be joining our Hockey community on Monday January 27th.
He has an extensive and relevant work experience in managing various sporting codes, experience leadership with people management skills, events management, planning numerous sports facilities projects and developments, organizing local and international sporting tours and coaching hockey and cricket at 1st Team and Representative level which includes working for Hockey Southland as Youth Development Officer, Director of Sport at Ashton College (Balito South Africa), Deputy Director of Sport at Westville Boys High School-South Africa, Head of Sport at Winston Park Primary School-South Africa, Owner/Head Coach at A2D Sport Coaching South Africa and Cricket Coach/Manager at Brisbane Grammar School-Australia.
He also coached and play Cricket in Norfolk England, at Wellington College and he was the Manager and Head Coach at Neil Hosken – (Durban Coaching Academy)
Anthony also had strong qualifications in Brand and Marketing Management, Sport and Event Management and South African Hockey Level 2 and Hockey Australia Level 1.
He took different Coaching Courses from Sport New Zealand and Hockey New Zealand as Coach Developer and Coaching Young Athletes.
He also was Chairman of iLembe Hockey District, A-Team Coach and Manager of Kwazulu Natal Costal Boys Hockey and a committee member of the Organization.
Anthony will be looking after NHA Programmes, Schools Visits and Club Competition.
We wish Anthony all the best, and we look forward to seeing him at Nelson Hockey from January 27th.
