📣 Cancellation Notice – 2025 Maadi Cup, Neale Shield, Pope Shield & Gladstone Cup

Following extensive consultation with all Top of the South associations, Nelson Hockey Association regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2025 Maadi Cup, Neale Shield, Pope Shield, and Gladstone Cup.

In response to recent severe weather disruptions, three alternative weekends were proposed to reschedule these much-anticipated events.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, a range of complex challenges , including player availability and seasonal constraints , has made it unfeasible for our regional associations to commit to new dates this year.

As communicated throughout, the safety and wellbeing of our communities remained our top priority in all decisions made during this difficult time.

We are deeply grateful for the understanding, support, and collaboration shown by all Top of the South associations during these challenging circumstances.

We remain committed to fostering strong partnerships across our hockey community and look forward to future opportunities to reconnect on turf.

Together, we will continue strengthening our collective resilience and preparedness for seasons to come.

Please note that the NHA Office will coordinate reimbursement arrangements during the course of this week. We appreciate your patience and will ensure the process is completed promptly and professionally.
