THA will re-create its Village Green between Moana turf and Tahatai turf. There will be food trucks, coffee carts and our main bar over at the village green.
The Village Green bar will sell beer, wine, craft beer, RTDs and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that as part of THA’s special licence to sell alcohol over the tournament, no alcohol is to be brought into the facility, nor is there to be any drinking in the car parks outside the facility. These actions would jeopardise our liquor licence.
Go Hockey, NZ’s biggest hockey factory outlet, is just 400m away from our turfs and Eddy will also have a shop presence on site at the Village Green. For his company website click here
Information about our on-site physio and massage therapists will be provided asap.
There are no ice baths available in the changing rooms at Tauranga Hockey Centre and Tauranga Boys’ College. Teams are welcome to bring in their own paddling pools (at the Hockey Centre only) to the designated grass areas.
Started in 2012 by Colin Chester, known widely throughout the Masters community, the programme encourages people to donate their unwanted hockey equipment which is refurbished and given away to those who are unable to access or purchase their own. Donated sticks get a quick check to make sure they not too far gone then cleaned, repaired and painted. The sticks are even tested to make sure they’re fit for purpose!
If you have hockey equipment you don’t use and are happy to donate, please bring it along to National Tournament and drop it off into the collection bin located at Tauranga Hockey Centre – Kawaka St.
Look out for the bin with the sign – Grow the Game – see image on this page.
