NHA offer a range of development programmes, from grass roots for years 5-6, right through to under 15/18/21 Academy programmes.

Training Camps

Tasman Summer Camp will provide hockey players from the Region the opportunity to develop their hockey skills, meet other Tasman players from different associations and have a lot of fun at the same time.

The two day camp will become a great event which provides players form all region different associations a great opportunity to build them for the future.

Pre-Season / Fitness Training

A Pre-Season Fitness Training Programme that will provide players the opportunity to build a strong foundation to be in supreme physical shape for the competitive season.
Programme will be run in seven weeks, with two sessions per week – Total 14 sessions. One hour each session. Available for U13-U15 / U18-U21.

Satelite Programmes

NHA will start its first SATELLITE HOCKEY PROGRAMME in conjunction with Sport Tasman, Motueka Sport Recreation Center in Term 1, 2018

6 week programme starting 21st Feb – 28th March

Wednesdays
3.30 – 4.30  Y1 – 3  Preschool
4.30 – 5.30  Y4 – 8+ Primary age
5.30 – 6.30 Renegade – Family
6.30 – 8.30 Social league

Registrations at Sport Tasman – Motueka Sport Recreation Center.

Hockey Academy

The purpose of the Academy is to provide a high quality programme to our players where our Performance Development Officer will provide training programmes that also reflects the key initiatives of National Programmes. The implementation of the NHA Academy will ensure that our athletes will be developed to enhance their opportunities regionally (Capital)  and National with the progression to succeed in the world stage.
