2019 Maadi/Pope/Gladstone Tournament

The 2019 Nelson Senior Men and Women’s team have returned from Westport where they competed in the inaugural TOS Senior tournaments, competing for the Maadi Cup (Men), Pope Shield (Women A) and Gladstone Cup (Women B).

The Nelson Men successfully defended their title, with dominant performances against all TOS teams this year. The Nelson Senior A Women dominated West Coast in their opening game, and fought hard against Marlborough but were edged out 0-1 to come second. Our Nelson B Women came away with a win and two draws – not quite enough to beat Marlborough though.
