2021 WEETBIX Kiwi Kids Tryathlon volunteers wanted

Hi everyone,

Nelson Hockey has been offered an opportunity to provide 13 volunteers for the very popular Weetbix Kiwi Kids Tryathlon taking place on Sunday, 14th of March.  See below for all the details we received from the organisers.

Clubs – could you please spread this opportunity amongst your club members and ask them to register their interest with me via email.

Jr coaches + umpires – if you are interested, please register your interest with me via email.

Traffic Control and Parking Marshal

Sunday, 14 March 2021

6.00am – 12.10pm approx

13 people required

Tasks include: assisting Safe Traffic NZ (the contracted traffic management company) to ensure residents around the area and those arriving to be involved in the event have accurate information about where and when they can drive and park, ensuring only permitted vehicles are accessing the secured area (such as VIP’s, media, those who require disability parking), keeping vehicles moving through the drop-off zone, advising drivers who are approaching closed roads of alternate routes and directing people to appropriate parking areas.

Payment: $25 per volunteer to be paid to Nelson Hockey. When volunteers check in on the day they will also receive: t-shirt, cap, bag, drink bottle, breakfast and light lunch. They will also receive a high vis vest to be returned at the end of shift. Sunscreen will be available at the volunteer check in.
