2023 U18M&W STIRLING & DODSON CUPS INFORMATION-Sunday May 14th-Marlborough Hockey Association

Nelson Hockey Association would like to send our 2023 NHA U18M&W Teams our best wishes for the upcoming Stirling and Dodson Cups to be played this upcoming Sunday May 14th at Marlborough Hockey Association.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:

Players to be Under 18 as at 1 January 2023

MATCH BALL:

Marlborough will provide a Hockey NZ-approved match ball for each game.

GAME DURATION:

  A match consists of four quarters of 15 minutes, an interval of 2 minutes between quarter 1 and 2 and

  between quarter  3 and 4 and a half-time interval of 5 minutes between quarter 2 and 3.

ENTRY FEE:

No Entry Fee

RULES

All games to be played to Hockey New Zealand Rules

JUDICIAL MATTERS:

                                             As per the Hockey New Zealand guidelines for judicial committees’ juries of appeal are available on Hockey NZ website

TROPHY HOLDERS:

    Stirling Cup –(Nelson) to bring to the tournament.

  Dodson Cup – (Nelson) to bring to the tournament.

PRIZE GIVING:

                                 At the conclusion of each match a presentation will be held and an after match will be provided by the

Marlborough Teams for players, umpires and team officials.

COFFEE & FOOD:

There will be a coffee cart and JJ’s Food truck present on-site at the turf for refreshments and lunches to be purchased.

FIRST AID:

Each team is to have their own basic first aid kit. Ice will be available in the dugouts.
