2022 U18W Vantage National Tournament Thank you!

On behalf of Nelson Hockey Association we would like to thank everyone involved in this recent 2022 HNZ U18W Vantage National Tournament hosted by our Association from July 10th – 16th.

It was an immense pleasure for us to host this event and be part of this traditional event between the U18 Girls Teams from 19 Associations from all around the Country.

It was a great honor for NHA to host this important tournament and a fantastic opportunity for all U18 Girls TEAMS to compete and play amongst each other in this full week but also to strengthen relationships between all Hockey Associations.

For sure, this will be an event that everyone remember for a long time, and we were very glad to have this chance to be part of it.

NHA would like to express our big thanks to all Hockey New Zealand Staff  particularly to Regan Bain & Colin French, Tournament Officials (Tournament Director Kerry Dyson, Umpires Managers Nicole O’Gorman & Kirsten Stuckey, TO’s John Etherington ,Adrienne Stickhouse & Jan WIlson, Tournament Administrator Daniel Hobbs, Cello Sport Staff Richard Bennet & Rhys Leong, Shuttersport Staff (Tournament Photography) PROMED, NHA Sponsors, our main sponsor for this event (NCC & Regional Development Agency), Marama, her family and staff at the Kitchen for provide all the food for us during this week, Merisse from the Cleaning company and to all players, coaches, managers &  umpires.

 Also, we would  like to express our gratitude towards Mrs. Heather Bryant (NHA Board member), Daniel Hobbs (NHA RDM), Anna Bradley (NHA Administrator) and NHA Board members for all your work and support for the preparation of this important event. All of them have been working very hard trying to provide all our visitors the best experience as possible during their stay here in Nelson. This event would not have been possible without them.

 We would like also to extend our gratitude to Mrs. Chris Lock (NHA Patronne) & Mrs. Heather Bryant (NHA Board member) and  Alex Smith (NHA CHAIR) by having presented the medals at the trophy ceremony.

It was a great opportunity for us to have Carol Ward, Amanda’s Hopper best friend presenting the Amanda Hopper Memorial Trophy to the U18W Champions  Canterbury Hockey.

One more time thank you very much to all the players, coaches, managers, umpires, volunteers, family and friends for your support to our sport.
