Teams Selected for Masters North vs South Series

Hockey NZ can now confirm the selection for the upcoming Masters NORTH v SOUTH series which will take place between the 17^th and 20^th of November 2022 at the National Hockey Centre in North Harbour.

 After two years without any National or International play, members of the Masters playing community have been keen to get involved in the inaugural Masters North v South Series, which is being held at the National Hockey Centre, North Harbour from the 17^th to the 20^th of November 2022.

The series is one of two trial events for the 2023 Trans-Tasman Challenge being held in Christchurch between 30 April and 6 May 2023.

Over 760 players registered across the 15 age and gender groups. Clearly not all can be involved in the North v South series so those that have missed out will be considered at the second trial event, the National Masters Tournament in Tauranga during the first week of March 2023.

The teams have been selected geographically within age groups with the line between North and South varying depending on player registrations in each age group. In some of the older age groups, some players have been selected out of age group to ensure teams have enough players.
