ASIA NEW ZEALAND FOUNDATION Presentation Tuesday February 9th

2021 Presentation + Skills Clinic with Black Sticks Goal Keeper, Richard Joyce.

In behalf of NELSON HOCKEY ASSOCIATION we would like to express our big thanks to ASIA NEW ZEALAND FOUNDATION for their presentation to our community members this past Tuesday February 9th at our facility.

The purpose of the session was to highlight the importance of the Asian region in the future of young New Zealanders.

After a brief introduction about the foundation, (Asia New Zealand Foundation) from Kirsty Sharp (Asia Foundation-Sport Advisor) Richard Joyce talked about the importance Asia has had on his sport and leadership journey.

After the presentation, Richard took the participants for a skill development session at our Turfs.

Richard has travelled to Malaysia, Japan and India as a Black Sticks member and also to China for business. He reflected on his own experiences, how prepared he was, what it has taught him and the role Asia will play in his future.
