Chris Lock-(NHA Patroness & Life member) Passed away.

NHA Board and staff are truly saddened to acknowledge the recent passing of Hockey Nelson’s Patroness and Life Member, Chris Lock.  Chris has been a long-time stalwart of Nelson Hockey, having strong associations with Tasman Hockey Club and before that Richmond Hockey Club.

Chris’s passion for hockey and her commitment and dedication to the Nelson Hockey community was immense – she filled many different roles over many years, working as an administrative staff member as well as serving on various committees and as a valued Board member. She was a club player, coach, manager and rep player.  A true servant of the game, working tirelessly until recent years when ill health forced her to step back from direct involvement, she still maintained an interest in the sport and could often be seen at the turf watching games and catching up with friends.

Chris will be sadly missed by her many friends in the hockey community.  Our sympathies and thoughts go to her husband Ron and their family in the loss of a wife, mother and friend.
