Lawrie Saunders passes.

Hockey Nelson acknowledges with sadness the recent passing of Lawrie Saunders and on behalf of the hockey community send our sympathies to his wife, Rachel, and children, Nick and Brooke.

Lawrie played for the Old Boys Club for many years and also coached the Nelson Hatch Cup team for a period.

We appreciate the contribution Lawrie made to hockey and the legacy he’s left, with son, Nick, recently achieving international hockey umpire status.
