NHA -TURF 1 (Replacement)
NHA would like to announce the replacement of our Turf 1.
Today we started the schockpad testing.
This needs to be done to confirm it is suitable for reuse and the finished (new) surface can be FIH certified once complete.
To do this Polytan (Turf provider) will need to peel back the carpet and undertake some testing on the shockpad by an accredited laboratory.
Labosport in Christchurch started this process today.
They will need to peel back all four corners and also need to cut some small holes in some areas through the middle of the field which I they won’t be able to glue back down.
On that basis,they wanted to be sure that nobody will be on the turf from now and on.
NHA will received the report soon, to confirm how long the process will take.
The remove of the carpet will start on Saturday October 27th.
