NHA-(Vaccine Pass Mandate Restrictions Change) April 4th-11:59 pm.

Hi all,
As you may be aware, the Government has announced that the vaccine pass mandate restrictions are due to change at 11.59pm 4th April.
This means vaccine passes won’t be required to play hockey from that date which Nelson Hockey is excited about as it allows us to return to being the fully inclusive organisation we want to be.
We asked NHA clubs to please inform their members of this and if they can, get a gauge of if they are likely to have any additional teams due to these changes and then inform Nelson Hockey as soon as possible as this may result in any potential draw changes.
Just for everyone information:
From 5th April 2022 we will be removing the vaccine pass requirement for Sporty registrations.
From 5th April 2022 we will be removing the vaccine pass requirement to enter the facility.
Please note Nelson Hockey Pavilion runs under a different guidelines and may have different details – we will inform our community of these as we have information available.
On Wednesday 6th April 2022 from 5.00pm – 6.00pm, we will be opening one turf for anyone who feels they need an additional training to get back up to speed.
We have set a cut off date of Thursday 31st March 2022 to inform NHA of any additional teams to be entered into the competition and this information has been already sent to NHA Clubs.
We will run the first week of the competition based on the already circulated draw and if there are any changes to the draw required, this will be made from week two.
Any major changes to draws will be circulated to all clubs and on social media/NHA website by Wednesday 12pm of the week effected, this will allow time for clubs to notify members (any exceptions to this will be agreed between clubs).
We will require any changes to team lists to be sent to the NHA RDM rdm@nelsonhockey.org.nz in a timely manner so these can be approved, and club members are able to take the field for their games.
As per our usual rules – all players need to be registered before taking the field.
We will still be playing the ‘Play On’ guidelines for any covid effected reduced number teams.
We hope these changes have a positive impact on our club competition and understand these timeframes are incredibly tight however we are following the Government requirements and adapting as these changes as they are happening.
Please as always, if you have any questions feel free to get in contact with the team at NHA – we are trying to make this process as smooth as possible and your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Regards
