2018 CAPITAL U18s

2018 Capital U18s

In line with Capital Athlete Selection Policy all players that are interested in playing in the Capital U18 teams at the 2018 National Tournament in Dunedin must complete an online registration form and attend trials. Any athletes unable to attend trials must email [email protected] well in advance of trials.

A timeline for the selection is as follows:

January 2018:                 Player registration open

9 March 2018:                Registration close

16 March 2018:              Last day for payment of trial fee

17/18 March 2018:        Trials – NHS, Wellington

Saturday 10-3pm

Sunday 10-3pm

23 March 2018:              Squad named by 23rd March

Trials will include fitness testing (16 length), skill assessment, and match play.

As in recent years there is a cost associated which covers the cost to run trials (out of town players travel, turf etc)

The exact cost will be confirmed and invoiced closer to the time when we can understand the true costs that will be incurred – last year this was $40 per player. South Island players travel will be subsidised.

We will endeavour to support South Island players finding billets for the Saturday night and also with transport to and from the airport if they require it.
