2018 NHA COACHING COURSE-SMALL STICKS

Target Groups:
(i) Young people, aged 13-18, who are due to start Nelson Hockey’s “Growing Coaches Programme” on February 3rd in association with Sport Tasman. Please note that this is a compulsory part of the Growing Coaches programme and your attendance is required to complete the Growing Coaches award and also to be considered for a coaching position on the junior hockey programme in the 2018 hockey season.

(ii) Young people, aged 13-18, who have some coaching experience and have coached on the junior programme for Nelson Hockey in the past, have not previously completed a Small Sticks Coaching course and are keen to be considered for a junior coaching position in the 2018 hockey season.

(iii) Adults who are keen to further develop their coaching skills and have not previously completed a Small Sticks Coaching course.

Additional Requirements: Any coach who would like to be considered for a coaching position on Nelson Hockey’s Junior Hockey Programme starting on Tuesday 13th February 2018, is encouraged to attend a Hockey NZ Small Sticks Coaching Award on Friday February 16th from 5.00pm-7.00pm, unless they have previously completed this coaching award. Please note Young Coaches, who are on Nelson Hockey’s Growing Coaches programme, MUST attend this course to complete their Sport NZ Growing Coaches award.
