Masters information is on our website: tgahockey.co.nz. Look for the 2021 Masters Nationals link on our home page,
then use the drop-down menu to view more information on different tabs. These pages are updated constantly as we
receive more information. This is the primary place for teams and supporters to access information.
Tournament Accommodation Options
There is a list of accommodation providers on our website. Please note that the surf life savings competition “Oceans
2021” runs from 25 – 28 February. Last year there were 47 clubs represented from around New Zealand and Australia so
accommodation could be difficult to find for the Saturday night before tournament. Get in early!
Draw and Pre-tournament Practice Times
The draw is provided by HNZ. The draw will be published on our website as soon as it is made available. Practice turf is
available on Saturday 27 February from 1pm. Turf is booked via Andrea (admin@tgahockey.co.nz) and will be invoiced
after the tournament at $60 (incl GST) per hour/per half turf.
Tournament Briefing for Managers and Coaches
The briefing will be on Saturday 27 February at Club Mt Maunganui (across the road from the Tauranga Hockey Centre)
at a time to be advised.
Tournament Briefings for Selectors, Umpires and Officials
These will also be on Saturday 27 February at Club Mt Maunganui at times to be advised.

Parking is along Cameron Road by the turf, on Thirteenth Avenue, or on Devonport Road, on the other side of the
school. Parking is always at a premium during school days. We will advise team van parking location once TBC has
advised availability. No parking is allowed in the school car park on Devonport Road.
Match Balls
Teams must each bring a match ball – Kookaburra Elite.
Food, Drinks & Alcohol at Tauranga Hockey Centre: Finger and Fork Café and Catering
On-site in our pavilion, Finger and Fork will be open each day providing a selection of hot/cold food and drinks. We will
advise the additional food trucks as they are confirmed. THA will also have on-site bars and other food options for teams
to enjoy the after-match atmosphere. Please note that as part of THA’s special licence to sell alcohol over the
tournament, no alcohol is to be brought into the facility.
Food, Drinks & Alcohol at Tauranga Boys’ College
The school will not have food or beverage arrangements on-site, nor is alcohol allowed on-site. Food is available at
multiple retail outlets one block away from the turf, including Subway, Pita Pit, Dominos Pizza, Burger Fuel, sushi and
Countdown supermarket.
Medical and First Aid
There will be medical and first aid staff on site at Tauranga Hockey Centre while games are being played. A
comprehensive list of medical service providers including emergency clinics, physiotherapy and dental care will be
published and will be on display in the Tauranga Hockey Centre pavilion. We will advise the medical presence at
Tauranga Boys’ College once finalised but note that the school is less than one kilometre from Tauranga Hospital.

Information about our on-site physio will be published on our website as it comes to hand.
