Effective questioning, self-reflection/review, helping players to be more responsible for their development, observation for effective feedback, and sharing.

Presenter Bio: PAT BARWICK
Pat coached the NZ Hockey Team between 1987-1992, and coached Canterbury to five National and two Champion Tournament titles. She also captained the Black Sticks for nine years between 1971-1979 and received a lifetime achievement award from Sport NZ in 2013.Past Hockey representative for 4 Associations, NZ 1971 – 1980 and Captain 1971 -1979. Always enjoyed coaching and went on to coach Canterbury, NZ U21 and NZ team for 6 yrs. Following this began work in the Sport Sector as either Development Officer or Regional Manager in Hockey, and then in Sport Canterbury as Coaching Leader and Performance Coach Lead. Strongly involved in developing Coach Development programmes with Sport NZ to better develop Coaches, and those that Coach both coaches and umpire coaches.
