COVID 19-Update

Nelson Hockey Association would like to inform the hockey community that we are continually monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation. We are following Government regulations, the Ministry of Health and Hockey NZ guidelines to ensure we adhere to health and safety best practice recognizing that the health and wellbeing of our community is paramount. In regard to the next steps moving forward NHA will have another Conference Call this upcoming Monday March 23rd-02:00 pm with Hockey NZ and all CEO’s and Chairs from all Hockey Associations around the country where the main focus will be how we are going to collectively move through this and ultimately out of it as a sport.

As we informed previously, all NHA Hockey Programs are cancel until Saturday May 2nd.The postponement includes all hockey matches and training activities, including rep and development programs,community and school competitions and pre season trials and activities.For this reason we’ve decided that we’re unable to allow casual use of the turf and the facilities at this time so the Turf will be close for ALL use until further notice.In view of the everchanging environment we’re in, we’ll be reviewing this on a regular basis and will advise you of any changes as they happen.
