Head Coach Position Vantage Black Sticks New Zealand Women’s National Team • Performance, Leadership & Coaching •

Hockey New Zealand’s vision is to be the world’s best hockey nation, and the Vantage Black Sticks Women’s National Team is New Zealand’s pinnacle high performance women’s hockey team, representing New Zealand at all targeted international competitions and events.

The Head Coach position with the Vantage Black Sticks Women’s team recently became available and Hockey New Zealand is seeking a Head Coach to lead the team and programme on a full-time basis. This role will commence in May 2019 and its purpose is to coach the Vantage Black Sticks Women’s team to winning performances on the world stage.

The purpose of this leadership role is to optimise the performance capacity of the Black Sticks team and supporting National Squad; and to lead the National Women’s programme’s continued development of a high performance culture.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

• extensive international experience with a track record of success;
• outstanding technical and tactical hockey knowledge;
• proven capability in the holistic development and growth of individual players and teams to drive consistent performance;
• the ability to communicate effectively and build a strong team culture;
• a passion to succeed and continuously improve;
• a strong focus on achievement; and
• excellent planning skills with attention to detail.

Experience of world-class performance environments in a coaching capacity, knowledge of international trends and current game developments, and proven leadership skills will also be sought after.
