MAADI CUP-GLADSTONE CUP-POPE SHIELD TROPHY
JULY 27th-28th-29th

This past weekend it was a great time for Hockey at Marlborough Hockey Association in Blenheim.
The event was well hosted by Marlborough Hockey Association and the weather was kind – blue skies but a cold wind. 
Teams from Marlborough, West Coast, Buller and Nelson Hockey Associations played with a good spirit and there was some good exciting hockey played with plenty of goals. The Men’s game between West Coast and Nelson as the decider for the winner of the Maadi Cup was superb, coming down to the wire with West Coast being awarded a PC in the last minute of the game and defended stoutly by Nelson to come away with a 5 all draw and win the Cup.
There was a real social feel to the tournament with teams mixing really well.
NHA would like to express our big thanks to MARLBOROUGH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION, BULLER HOCKEY ASSOCIATION, WEST COAST HOCKEY ASSOCIATION for a great weekend.
