New Zealand Masters Games 2020
The New Zealand Masters Games is an annual multisport event which will be held in Dunedin, from the 1st to the 9th of February 2020.
Hockey is a one of the 65+ events on offer at the Masters Games. We would like to encourage as many Masters’ Hockey competitors’ to join us in Dunedin at the 2020 event, and would like to request your assistance in advising your Masters association/members of this event.
Any assistance in promoting this event would be most appreciated, whether this is including the event on your website, in any newsletters, in your clubrooms and on your Facebook page.
Information on the New Zealand Masters Games 2020:
- The 2020 Games will be held from the 1st to the 9th of February 2020.
- The 2020 event will be held in Dunedin.
- Attracting over 5000 competitors, entrants come from around New Zealand, Australia and overseas.
- We have 68 events on the schedule offering a full range of sports to participate in for both winter and summer codes.
- There are opening and closing ceremonies, medals are awarded and with a full entertainment schedule having fun is just as important as the sport.
- Competitors do not need to be an elite athlete to compete and do not need to qualify. Anyone can register for the Games – whether to win, to beat their personal best or to just have fun.
- There is plenty of accommodation available in Dunedin over the Masters Games dates. For assistance with accommodation contact the Dunedin I-Site on 03-474 3300 or visitor.centre@dcc.govt.nz.

We would like to invite Masters Hockey players to join us at the Masters Games. Information on Hockey is:
- Hockey is on Saturday 1 – Tuesday 4 February 2020
- There are both mens and womens events
- Minimum age for competitors is 35 years as at the first day of competition
- The venues for the event is the McMillan Hockey Centre, Dunedin
I have attached a poster/flyer on the Masters Games and it would be great if you could distribute this through your association and/or use on your social media channels, as we would love to see your Masters competing in Hockey at the Games.
