NHA BOARD MEMBER-Simon Patel.

“The Hockey Nelson Board is pleased to welcome Simon Patel who has been co-opted as a member until the 2021 AGM.  Simon brings a knowledge of hockey from being a player, coach and parent and has had governance experience in the UK Health sector as well as a broad range of knowledge from his NZ teaching experience including strategic, change management and cultural responsiveness, fund raising and lobbying.  He is currently the Deputy Principal at Nelson Intermediate School.  We look forward to the skills and knowledge Simon brings to the Board and the significant input he’ll be able to give to the Hockey Nelson community.  Thanks, Simon.

Simon replaces Chris Lock who was generous enough to continue her term until we were able to find a replacement.  We take the opportunity to thank Chris for her efforts as a valued Board member, particularly with her contribution to re-doing the Constitution and her insightful input to Policies and Board decisions. Chris will continue her involvement as Patroness of Hockey Nelson.
